Accessibility

The Agbar Foundation, in accordance with its objective of improving quality of life for people, has taken into account the recommended standards for Website accessibility and the elimination of barriers online.

To achieve this objective, it has taken into account the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0, established by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), a work group belonging to the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

Thus, the new public website of the Agbar Foundation complies with Level A (priority 1) accessibility for visual, cognitive and technological disabilities, allowing adjustment of text size, browsing without the decorative visual elements, etc.

The objective of this accessibility is:

  • To facilitate the social inclusion of marginalised people or those at risk of social exclusion.
  • To contribute towards the construction of a society that is less segregative and more integrative, as well as to facilitate active participation by all people.
  • This means that a person with any kind of disability, or any other person in circumstances that might hinder access to the information on the Website, can access the contents successfully.

With this commitment to a Website based on accessible design, the Agbar Foundation wishes to benefit both people with some kind of disability and the elderly, as well as people who want to access it using any kind of device or technology.
