Studies are continuing for the renovation of the Museu Agbar de les Aigües. At the last meeting of the Agbar Foundation Board of Trustees, a number of different proposals were presented to promote it as a 21st-century museum: innovative, experiential and more participative for visitors.
The renovation of the museum aims to give a fresh boost to the heritage elements in the Central Cornellà facility and reveal the water of the aquifer through new digital resources that offer an innovative experience, with water as the theme running through them. In addition, the aim is to integrate the garden into the landscape to make it an even more public space, a new park open not only to museum visitors but also to the public in general.
At the meeting, the different strategic pillars of the Master Plan 2017-2020 were also discussed: solidarity, education, culture and the environment. The Agbar Campus was also presented, an event planned for November in Barcelona whose aim is to seek synergies among towns in the Barcelona metropolitan area, third sector organisations, experts in the field of water and the university environment.
In addition, a donation of 15 computers to the Government of Catalonia was approved. These will be used for training and education purposes at the Els Ports Natural Park.
